    About this event

More than just saying hello, why don't we cook together and learn from one another? My family comes from the small country of Ecuador in South America. We are a small but diverse country, with different regions being known for different things. The capital region of Quito, is known as "la Ciera". One of a popular dishes to make with family members is the dish we are making today, Bistec de carne. All you need is the following:

    Serving size 2 people

1 package of meat, whatever you prefer (try to buy one that is more lean) (You can substitute it with chicken or tofu)

    4 Tomatoes on the vine

    3 Yukon gold potatoes

    1 yellow onion

1 or 2 green bell peppers

1 can of crushed tomatoes (not paste!)

    1 clove of garlic

    White or brown rice

1 small bottle of packet of Adobo of your choice

2-3 small packet of Sazon or Achote (red powder) of your choice

Other household ingredients such as salt, pepper, oil.
