More than just saying hello, why don't we cook together and learn from one another? My family comes from the small country of Ecuador in South America. We are a small but diverse country, with different regions being known for different things. The capital region of Quito, is known as "la Ciera". One of a popular dishes to make with family members is the dish we are making today, Bistec de carne. All you need is the following: Serving size 2 people 1 package of meat, whatever you prefer (try to buy one that is more lean) (You can substitute it with chicken or tofu) 4 Tomatoes on the vine 3 Yukon gold potatoes 1 yellow onion 1 or 2 green bell peppers 1 can of crushed tomatoes (not paste!) 1 clove of garlic White or brown rice 1 small bottle of packet of Adobo of your choice 2-3 small packet of Sazon or Achote (red powder) of your choice Other household ingredients such as salt, pepper, oil.
